It was decided to run the event as a 6s Tournament as it is spectator friendly, ideal for family participation, games are over quickly and always provide thrills and spills as well as a result.

Cricket is also growing in popularity world wide thanks to the T20 game.

McLaren Cricket Club, together with other local clubs, will provide the equipment, umpires, scorers and logistical know how to arrange the cricket tournament

The organising committee will be looking at incorporating as many as 12 Pubs in the Tournament representing as many different towns as possible in Central Scotland.

We would like to get some Cricket Scotland players guesting in the teams

We would turn it into an Annual Charity event.

ALL funds raised will go to the UNICEF campaign
